Tesla has revamped its Supercharger Membership for owners of other electric vehicles (EVs) in Europe. The company has lowered the monthly price, while also introducing the option for non-Tesla EV owners to purchase an annual membership.
Tesla launched their non-Tesla Supercharger pilot program in Europe in 2021, first starting with select stations in the Netherlands. Since the program has expanded to cover much of Europe, with the rapid expansion facilitated by the fact Superchargers in the region were already equipped with CCS connectors as standard.
Tesla still wanted to prioritize their owners, billing owners of other EVs a higher rate per kWh than Tesla owners. To help offset the higher per kWh charge, Tesla also introduced a monthly membership with the same per kWh prices that Tesla owners pay.
This membership was priced at €12.99 (C$19.03), but starting this week that price has been cut to €9.99 (C$14.63), according to a screenshot from the mobile app shared by Felix Hamer (@electricfelix) on X.
Additionally, a new annual membership option has appeared, priced at €100 (C$146.49), a savings of €19.88 (C$29.18) compared to the monthly payment option.
There was a similar price drop in the United Kingdom (UK), from £10.99 down to £8.99 (C$18.71 to C$15.32), but no annual membership option was added.
Tesla has also opened up the Supercharger network to other EVs in North America. While there is a Supercharger Membership in Canada and the US, pricing on this side of the pond has not changed, it is still C$16.99 and US$12.99.
