Tesla is no stranger when it comes to winning awards. The latest to add to its collection are from an impressive showing at the 2020 Kelley Blue Book (KBB) Brand Image Awards.
The awards are given out annually to brands that rank higly from over 12,000 “in-market, new vehicle shoppers” who use the KBB website.
“The Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards are given in recognition of automakers who excel in creating and maintaining brand attributes that create excitement about their products.”
In the Best Luxury Brand category, Tesla showed off its dominance in that segment by taking home 5 of the 6 awards. The only award it didn’t win, Most Trusted Luxury Brand, was won by Lexus for the fifth year in a row.
As many Tesla and EV owners have noticed over the last several months, there has been a definite shift in customer attitude towards electric vehicles (EVs), and KBB notes this shift as well, saying there has been “a paradigm shift in consumer attitudes towards the types of vehicles they admire and aspire to own“.
This is evident here in Canada, where last year the Tesla Model 3 was the #1 selling luxury vehicle in Canada, topping the likes of perennial winners Mercedes Benz and BMW.
