It is hard to believe it is that time of the year again. Tesla announced today it will hold its Annual Shareholder Meeting on Thursday, October 7 2021.
The meeting will begin at 2:30pm PST and be held at the Fremont factory in California. As with most public events these days, Tesla said it may “change the date, time, location, and/or format” of the event to be in compliance with public safety orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the notice for the event, there will be four Tesla Proposals and five proposals from stockholder presented for voting during the meeting. Most of the stockholder proposals deal with the HR side of Tesla’s business with items such as additional reporting on diversity and inclusion efforts and employee arbitration up for consideration.
All of them have been recommended to vote ‘AGAINST’ by Tesla’s board.
If you are interested in attending, all TSLA stockholder as of close of business on August 9, 2021 are invited and will be able to cast votes. You should be receiving a notice for the event and proxy statement from your financial institution soon.
If you are unable to attend, there will also be a livestream broadcast at www.tesla.com/2021shareholdermeeting.
Last year Tesla had to postpone their Annual Shareholder Meeting several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before eventually holding it in September in conjunction with Battery Day.
