Lucid announces DreamDrive Pro is integrating with NVIDIA Drive

Lucid announced that its DreamDrive Pro would add new features building on NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion technology.

Although the company did not detail what features they would add, they did make it clear that the new features would be built on NVIDIA Drive.

As well, from all indications, Lucid is developing the software stack in-house and using the NVIDIA Drive platform to power it.

Additionally, the announcement noted that Lucid plans to further collaborate with NVIDIA on future projects.

However, Lucid did not go into detail.

DreamDrive Pro is an advanced driver-assistance system that includes 32-sensors. Each vehicle includes 14 cameras, one LiDAR, five radar and 12 ultrasonic units.

DreamDrive Pro was stock for the Lucid Air Dream Edition and Lucid Air Grand Touring. In contrast, it was optional for the other Lucid Air models.

Lucid intended to update DreamDrive Pro as the system improved, and this announcement looks like Lucid is following up on that promise.

The new features will come via over the air updates.

However, Lucid did not provide further details on what new features are coming. Nor did they confirm a release date of said features.
