Lincoln announced plans last year to introduce at least five new electric SUVs by 2026.
To celebrate their 100th birthday, the American manufacture plans to launch its first EV this year, and on Monday they revealed the first teaser images of the upcoming concept EV.
The short 16 second video doesn’t reveal much, but it does appear to show a larger SUV about the size of a Lincoln Aviator.
The only other detail revealed in the video is that it will make its global debut on Elon Musk’s favourite date, 4.20.22 (April 4, 2022).
We expect this first Lincoln EV to begin production in late 2024 or early 2025 at Ford’s Oakville plant in Ontario.
The electrification of Lincoln is part of a broader plan by Ford to electrify its lineup with a $30 billion investment through 2030.
