iOS 15.4 includes EV friendly driving routes for Ford Mach-E Drivers

Ford and Apple have teamed up to provide Ford Mach-E drivers with EV-friendly driving routes in an exciting update.

The latest iOS 15.4 update includes information about the battery charge left after the trip and where EV charging stations along the way.

Ford Mach-E owners will need to connect their updated iPhone to their Mach-E through Carplay and enter a destination.

Once done, the phone and car will collaborate and provide the information on the infotainment.

According to Ford, the update is included in the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E.

For those with the 2021 model year, the feature will be available later this year with a software update.

Ford also confirmed that the feature would come to the F-150 Lightning and E-Transit cars in the near future.

Apple, for its part, revealed that EV routing would arrive with the iOS 14 update at WWDC 2020, according to 9to5mac.

However, the release has been on a car-by-car basis, and evidently, Ford decided that now is the time.
