Giga Berlin water supply contract won’t be terminated

With the special grand opening delivery event less than one week away, Tesla has secured Giga Berlin’s water supply contract.

At a special meeting on Wednesday with the Brandenburg Ministry of the Environment, the Strausberg-Erkner Water Association (WSE) said they are withdrawing their decision to terminate the contract.

The decision comes after the parties agreed to allow WSE to pump 3.8 million cubic meters, 1.3 million more than previously allowed, reports B.Z. Berlin.

With the decision, Tesla can move ahead and kick off deliveries of the first made-in-Germany cars on March 22.

CEO Elon Musk is expected to be in attendance at the event, and will reportedly deliver the first 30 Model Y Performance cars to customers.

The event will also feature a factory tour for the lucky new owners, as well as a 6-hour party with employees.

Delivery Day Schedule is confirmed for Giga Berlin
