Ford has reversed course and is now cutting the price of the 2024 F-150 Lightning for most trims. According to a CarsDirect report, Ford has sent a bulletin to dealerships about the price cuts, which has seen prices drop by as much as US$5,500 depending on the trim.
The new pricing for the 2024 Ford F-150 is:
Trim | Price Cut | New Price with Destination Fee |
Pro Standard Range | None | $57,090* |
XLT Standard Range | $2,000 | $65,090* |
Flash Extended Range | $5,500 | $70,090* |
Lariat Extended Range | $2,500 | $79,090* |
Platinum Extended Range | None | $87,090 |
*Denotes trim that qualifies for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit
This is a bit of a reverse of Ford’s decision back in December not to adjust prices. Back in January, Ford made massive changes official to the MRSPs of most of its line-up, but the F-150 Lightning never dropped in price. In fact, instead of adjusting pricing to entice potential customers, Ford slowed F-150 Lightning production.
Ford has also confirmed it will hold the 2024 Mustang Mach-E pricing for now as they look to get rid of their remaining 2023 stock.
We have not seen any adjustments for Ford F-150 Lightning in Canada yet. But we may see bonus cash or some other incentive to get Lightning stock moving up north.
