Ford Increases EV Fleet Incentives with Up to $7,500 in Savings in the US

Ford has unveiled a series of discounts and financial incentives for its fleet customers across its lineup of electric vehicles (EVs).

According to a report from Cars Direct, Ford has introduced substantial discounts on the Mustang Mach-E and the F-150 Lightning, each benefitting from a US$2,500 Fleet Customer Cash incentive available until April 2nd.

The F-150 Lightning stands out within this program, being the sole model eligible for the full US$7,500 federal clean energy tax credit. This allows fleet customers to achieve up to $10,000 in savings on the electric pickup truck.

Ford’s commercial E-Transit van is also included in the program, and it comes out on top with a US$7,500 discount. This marks a significant increase from the previously offered $5,000 discount.

This series of incentives is part of a broader strategy by Ford to address the surplus inventory levels of its EVs that have accumulated over recent months. The company has recently introduced a referral program in select markets for the Mach-E and Lighting.

They have also slashed prices in both Canada and the US. In Canada the Mach-E is now up to $13,000 cheaper than it was last year, while in the US the Mach-E received discounts as high as $8,100, and the Lightning as much as $15,000.
