Hyundai has announced the first customer delivery of the IONIQ 5 in North America.
In a press release, the automaker says Yaron Alfi was the lucky customer, who took delivery on December 15, 2021 in Los Angeles.
Hyundai didn’t specify which variant of the IONIQ 5 Alfi is now driving, but he did share his excitement in being the first buyer in North America.
“The vehicle’s advanced connectivity features will offer great family fun, and we look forward to embarking on future road and camping trips away from the city. I’m thrilled to be one of the first buyers of this bold new vehicle, and I can’t wait to hit the road.”
The delivery comes just one day after the Hyundai announced pricing for the electric SUV in the US.
The base model of the IONIQ 5 comes with 220 miles of range and starts $40,925 USD.
Canadian pricing was announced in early November. The base model starts under $45,000, making all but two variants eligible for the $5,000 federal iZEV rebate.
