Blink to supply EV chargers to GM dealerships in Canada and the US

Blink Charging Co. has announced it will be providing General Motors with their Blink IQ 200 Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers to install across Canada and the United States.

“We are proud to bring Blink’s EV charging stations to GM dealerships, providing the vital infrastructure needed to charge GM’s growing lineup of EV models,” said Michael D. Farkas, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Blink Charging. “As transportation continues to shift towards becoming more electric, Blink’s technologically advanced EV charging infrastructure will be a critical component of an automaker’s ecosystem and will play a significant role in accelerating EV mass adoption.”

The company says their chargers are the fastest Level 2 AC charging stations available, capable of producing 80 Amps of output to deliver 19.2kWh to EVs.

GM announced in October plans to work with dealerships to install 40,000 chargers across North America.

As part of the Dealer Community Charging Program, GM will also expand access to charging in underserved, rural and urban areas.

They will also work to deploy level 2 chargers at workplaces, colleges, multi-unit dwellings and sports and entertainment venues, among others.
