The Tesla Model Y was the best selling luxury SUV in China last month, new data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) shows.
This marks the second month in a row the electric SUV has topped the country’s list of best-selling premium SUVs, including those powered by gas.
According to the CPCA, Tesla sold 23,117 Model Ys in November, a 74% increase from October.
In a distant second place was the Li Auto ONE with 13,485 units. The Mercedes Benz GLC, which was the second best-selling SUV in October, took third place in November 12,269 units sold.

The data also shows the growing popularity of electric SUVs in China. All of the gas-powered SUVs on the top 10 list saw double digit declines in sales year-over-year.
The two other electric SUVs, the Li Auto ONE and NIO ES6 saw sales increase 190.2% and 97.5% respectively.
If Tesla is able to end the year with another record month of sales, the Model Y has a chance at becoming the best-selling premium SUV in China for the whole of 2021.
After November, the electric SUV sits in second place, about 10,000 units behind the BMW X3.

Helping the cause will be the Model Y Performance, which began deliveries in China earlier this month with a host of new features.
