Tesla China’s delivery numbers over the last few weeks of the year are going to get a boost from the introduction of the Model Y Performance.
The automaker announced through its official Weibo social media account that the electric SUV is set to “start delivery in the near future” in China.
The news is not unexpected. Tesla first added the top of the line variant to the Design Studio in China earlier this year. A newly built Model Y Performance was also spotted on the factory floor inside Giga Shanghai in October, followed a few weeks later by a sighting of a transport truck loaded with the new cars.
