When you have a $15 million NBA contract, you can afford to give your dad a special gift for Christmas. That’s what Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. did, surprising his dad Michael Porter Sr. with a Tesla Model Y.
With his sister filming the surprise, Porter Sr. is invited outside through his garage. When the door opens, he sees a Model Y in the driveway, which he thinks is his son’s car. It is only when Porter Jr. says “Merry Christmas” does he realize the electric SUV is for him.
In a video shared on the NBA star’s Snapchat account, Porter Sr. can be heard saying “Man, you didn’t have to do this,” to which his son replies, “I didn’t have to but I wanted to.”
From the video it appears Porter Sr. received a Midnight Silver Metallic Performance Model Y with a white interior and 21″ Uberturbine wheels.
