Tesla Energy is continuing to expand its presence in the new home market. Earlier this year we told you about a luxury housing development in Florida that was providing owners with the full Tesla Energy ecosystem.
Now two luxury housing developments in Las Vegas are following a similar path and will feature Tesla Powerwalls and Model 3s.
Housing developer Livv has announced two new luxury housing communities in Las Vegas. The first to start construction next month will be the 60-acre Neo development, which will feature 84 homes priced between $2.3 million and $4 million.
For that price tag buyers get a semi-custom two-storey home ranging in size from 3,600 to 5,000 square feet and a three-car or five-car garage.
Steve Escalante, vice president of business development with Growth Holdings, the company behind the development, says it only makes sense to include the best electric car with their new homes.
“These are Tesla-powered homes that are going to be net-zero positive-energy communities. It’s building a sustainable lifestyle and sustainable footprint. If you drive this car, this is the type of home you should live in and if you live in this type of home, you should be driving electric,” Escalante told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
A second development called Magnus will also feature Tesla Powerwalls and Model 3s. The 37-acre site will feature 94 semi-custom homes that are a little more moderately priced between $1.3 million and $2.8 million.
The company is still waiting on final approvals on Magnus from local governments and it is not expected to start construction until next summer.
