Taking advantage of both their extensive charging infrastructure and connected features of their cars, Tesla is now offering instant touchless test drives at select Supercharger locations.
The test drives are available to anyone with a smart phone at the Kettleman City, Traver, Visalia, or Lemoore Superchargers in California.
All you have to do is scan the QR code located on the windshield. Fill out the form with your information and answer a few simple questions, and the car is remotely unlocked for your test drive.
Tesla includes some printed instructions inside the vehicle, along with some hand sanitizer to make sure the experience is as safe as possible. The instructions don’t seem to include anything about wiping down the touchscreen at the end of your test drive.
Based on the questions in the form and the cars available at Kettleman City, where these photos were taken, only the Model 3 and Model Y are available for these test drives.
If you don’t live near these Superchargers, you can still book a touchless test drive at your nearest Tesla location by visiting their website.
So this is interesting — Tesla is now using their Supercharger stations to sell cars.
You can go locations like Kettleman City, Traver, Visalia and Lemoore and scan a QR code on the windshield for an instant touchless test drive.
