Tesla’s impressive safety record was on full display recently in the UK as a Model 3 owner was able to walk away from a severe crash with only a broken arm.
The accident occurred recently in the UK and was shared by the Tesla Owners Club UK on Twitter. According to the driver, he was travelling at about 112km/h (70mph) when he lost control and careened off the side of the road into a heavily treed area.
Despite the massive damage, he was miraculously able to extricate himself from the vehicle and wait for emergency services to arrive.

When they did, the emergency personnel told him that due to the amount of damage to the Model 3 were expecting to find a body. Instead, the driver was sitting near the car with only a broken arm.
The owner fully credits the strength and safety of the Model 3 for saving his life. He has already ordered his next Tesla while he recovers from a series of surgeries to repair his broken arm.
Just today the Model Y became the latest Tesla vehicle to earn a perfect 5-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. It achieved perfect scores in every test, making it one of, if not the safest SUV on the road today.
