Tesla has opened its second new Supercharger station in Canada in the last five months, after the station in Niagara Falls was turned on this week.
The Niagara Falls Supercharger is located in the parking lot of the Niagara Falls Plaza at 6777 Morrison Street. Construction first began in January of this year, with Tesla using their prefabricated installation method to quickly put in place 20 V3 stalls.
However, as with most Supercharger projects in Canada this year, it sat idle for months with no activity. Earlier this month the official Tesla Charging account on X told us the Niagara Falls Supercharger would open this month, along with 6 others, and as promised, the power was turned on this week.
According to the Tesla mobile app, it costs $0.57/kWh to plug in, the same price as the other Supercharger in town. (h/t: @dfly777)
As we noted, this is the second Supercharger in Niagara Falls. The other is located just around 3km away at the Mount Carmel Centre (3770 Montrose Road), where there are 12 V3 stalls. However, that site may not be around for much longer as the land the Supercharger sits is planned to be redeveloped with multifamily and commercial uses.
According to Tesla, 6 other Superchargers should be turned on this month in North Saanich, BC, Whitecourt, AB. Valleyview, AB, Kananaskis, AB, Orillia, ON, and Digby, NS.
