Sixt is expanding their electric vehicle (EV) lease offerings in Germany. The global car rental and subscription and company now has German-made Tesla Model Y Performance available for lease.
The cars will come in two colours, the Pearl White Multi-Coat and the Solid Black.
As per Sixt, here is the breakdown for the lease:
Pearl White Multi-Coat
- €5,000 (~$6,500 CAD) initial payment (Clients get this back from BAFA as a tax incentive)
- €659 per month (~$864 CAD)
- 10,000 km per year
- 48-month term
Solid Black
- €5,000 initial payment (Clients get this back from BAFA as a tax incentive)
- €689 per month (~$903 CAD)
- 10,000 km per year
- 48-month term
Last month Drive Tesla reported that Giga Berlin had also started production of the Model Y Long Range variant, and that the first batch of vehicles would be going to a fleet customer.
We can now confirm that the fleet customer was Sixt, as the company confirmed they have also received German-made Long Range models.
Sixt has not confirmed the pricing of the Model Y Long Range, but they should be available on the company’s website soon.
Giga Berlin was granted approval this week to sell some of their good quality pre-production units that were built before the factory’s official opening. Tesla received approval to build up to 2,000 test cars, and a number of those will soon be in customer’s hands.
Tesla hasn’t explained how these vehicles will be sold, and if they will be offered at a discount compared to the official production vehicles.
