Ford has updated their website in the United States this morning, adding the F-150 Lightning to their ‘Build & Price’ tool with official pricing and option configurations.
As we first told you about yesterday, pricing ranges from as little as $39,974 for the Lightning Pro, up to more than $90,000 for the top-of-the-line Platinum.
There have been no updates to the Canadian version of Ford’s website.
However, the price can quickly get much higher than that, especially if you want the extended range battery, which is only available on the XLT trim or higher.
Building out a F-150 Lightning XLT with the extended range battery and no further options pushes the price up by $19,500 to $72,474.

F-150 Lightning Production Capacity
In September Ford announced they were doubling their initial Lightning production capacity from 40,000 to 80,000 units. The increase came after demand for the electric truck greatly exceeded their expectations.
Demand was so high that it was severely outpacing their production capacity, so they had to stop taking pre-orders last month.
Today, CEO Jim Farley announced they are planning to almost double their production capacity again to 150,000 units per year.
Even with the increase, they are currently faced with a backlog of more than 200,000 reservations. Given that, they are unlikely to start taking pre-orders again following this announcement.
