Tesla Mezcal gets limited-time $50 loyalty discount in the U.S.

While Tesla typically reserves loyalty discounts for existing owners purchasing a new vehicle, the company is now extending a similar perk to owners in the United States for one of its more unconventional products—its Mezcal.

The offer is not available to Canadians, as Tesla Mezcal is currently only sold in the U.S. due to strict alcohol import rules and provincial retail regulations making sales in Canada impractical.

According to a email sent to owners in the U.S. on Tuesday, Tesla has launched a limited-time incentive for Mezcal, saying: “As a Tesla owner, you can get $50 off Tesla Mezcal when you purchase by March 31, 2026.” The offer drops the price of the uniquely designed bottle from $450 to $400, making it slightly more accessible—though still positioned as a luxury item.

Tesla Mezcal itself is not a new product, but this latest promotion suggests the company is continuing to test demand and engagement for its high-end consumables. First introduced as part of Tesla’s expanding merchandise lineup, Tesla Mezcal stands out as much for its presentation as for its contents.

According to Tesla’s product description, the Mezcal is crafted using traditional methods in Oaxaca, Mexico. The company notes it is “distilled for a smokey and floral taste,” combining Espadín and Bicuishe agave varieties. This blend is intended to deliver a balance of delicate and spicy flavours, complemented by herbal notes that linger on the palate.

While it may seem unusual for an automaker to sell premium alcohol, Tesla has consistently blurred the lines between automotive, technology, and lifestyle branding. Previous products, such as Tesla Tequila and branded apparel, have seen strong demand—often selling out quickly and becoming collector’s items.

It remains to be seen whether this discount offer will generate a similar response, especially given the Mezcal’s premium pricing, and that it has already been around since 2024. However, the discount and limited-time nature of the offer could create a temporary boost in sales.
