WattsApp is rolling out a limited-time promotion for March that could significantly boost earnings for participating Tesla owners. After recently transitioning out of private beta and moving to a full public launch, the Canadian home charging rewards platform is now offering a Double Charging Point Promotion for users who refer friends.
For the month of March, users who successfully refer five friends will qualify for an additional 3 points per kWh on all home charging activity during the month. Combined with the standard 3 points per kWh, that brings the total to 6 points per kWh. Note that the referrals have to occur in March, and referrals earned in the months prior do not count towards the promotion.
Once those referrals are in place, the bonus applies to all home charging sessions completed in March. Bonus points are calculated on March charging sessions and will appear at the end of the month.

The structure is straightforward. Participants continue earning their standard referral points for each friend who signs up, while also unlocking the temporary charging multiplier. With WattsApp recently lowering its redemption threshold to 10,000 points and shifting to cash payouts via Interac e-Transfer, the increased earning rate could allow active home chargers to reach redemption levels faster.
As a reminder, WattsApp operates under Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations framework as a registered Charging Network Operator. Charging data is aggregated and verified through the federal system to generate clean fuel credits, which are then monetized and shared back with users in the form of points and cash rewards.
The March promotion builds on the strong growth the platform has seen in recent weeks. With home charging typically representing the majority of EV energy consumption, a temporary 6 points per kWh rate could meaningfully accelerate earnings for frequent drivers.
