Another Tesla Supercharger under construction in Kamloops [British Columbia]

Another city in British Columbia is set to receive its third Supercharger station. Construction has begun this week on a new station in Kamloops, joining another Supercharger under construction just a few kilometers away.

Last year we reported that Canada’s first Supercharger on First Nations land was going to be built at the Petro-Canada gas station at 301 Southern Yellowhead Hwy on Tk’emlúps te Secwe̓pemc land.

After a long wait construction has finally started. According to photos shared on Facebook by Rick Postma the station will feature 8 stalls and be located in the northeast corner of the lot.

It appears as though the underground utility work has been completed and crews are waiting for the Supercharger equipment to arrive on site.

As mentioned above, this is the second Supercharger currently under construction in Kamloops, and is the third overall for the city.

A 12-stall Supercharger is being built in the Sahali business area at 1380 Summit Drive, a short 5.4km away.

There is also a 6 stall V2 Supercharger at 1290 Trans-Canada Highway, 7.4km away.

Tesla has been busy adding Superchargers in British Columbia. There are currently 6 stations under construction or waiting to be turned on in Castlegar, Revelstoke, Merritt, Sechelt, and these two in Kamloops.
