The wait was worth it. Seven months after pricing was announced in the US, Volkswagen has finally revealed the price of the ID.4 in Canada.
First to arrive north of the border will be the ID.4 Pro – a rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant equipped with an 82kWh battery pack (77kWh usable). With 201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque, the ID.4 Pro will have a range of 400km (248 miles) on a full charge.
Unique to the Canadian market, the ID.4 will feature a heat pump to help improve the range and efficiency on cold winter days. It will also come standard with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a heated windshield.
Most importantly the ID.4 Pro will be priced at $44,995, putting it just below the threshold for the $5,000 iZEV rebate from the federal government. With additional provincial incentives, the price could be as low as $31,995 in Quebec.
Later in the year the all-wheel drive (AWD) ID.4 Pro will arrive in Canada. It will have approximately 300 horsepower and be priced at $49,995, meaning it too should qualify for the iZEV incentive.
The ID.4 Pro will first be offered in British Columbia and Quebec later this summer, followed by Ontario shortly thereafter.
