Tesla has launched a new offer for customers in Texas in which they can receive one year of free unlimited overnight charging. The offer is available to new Tesla Electric customers who purchase a Model 3 before the end of June.
In late 2022 Tesla started their new retail electricity business in Texas called “Tesla Electric,” Unlike traditional electric utilities, Tesla sells the electricity it buys from Powerwall owners and provides a buffer against peak pricing. To celebrate the launch of the new venture, Tesla offered a new plan a few months later that gave owners in Texas unlimited overnight charing for only $30 per month, or $1 per day.
That deal is now even better, but only if you purchase a Model 3. According to the details of the new program, Texas customers who order and pick up a new Model 3 between May 26, 2023, until June 30, 2023, will be eligible for a year of free overnight vehicle charging at home.
To qualify for this offer, customers must meet certain criteria. First, they need to order and pick up a new Model 3 as described above. They also must not be existing Tesla Electric customers, as the new owners are required to sign up with Tesla Electric and enroll in the Tesla Electric Home Charging Plan when invited.
