Tesla’s Diner and Drive-in Movie Supercharger in Los Angeles gets approved

Tesla has been granted the necessary permits for something it has teased for a long time, the Diner and Drive-in Movie Supercharger in Los Angeles.

If you look forward to taking in a (short) movie while charging your electric car, Tesla will soon be providing such services in LA. The EV maker has obtained the required permits to build a 32-stall Supercharger station with two movie theatre screens showing popular movies. However, if you are feeling peckish, you can grab a bite to eat in the attached restaurant, which has rooftop seating to maximize your view.

The facility will be located at 7001 W. Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood. The architect is Stantec Architecture, while the contractor is PCL Construction Services Inc.

Tesla submitted applications last November but only got approval from the City of Los Angeles last month, as Teslarati reports. The permit for site grading inspection was granted on August 9, essentially authorizing Tesla to start construction.

Tesla operates the most extensive charging network globally and has been rated the best by J.D. Power. It is now adding value-added services to make the Supercharger stations more attractive for EV owners.
