Tesla trademarks Giga Beer and Giga Bier

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office website, Tesla submitted trademarks for Giga Beer and Giga Bier. The patents do not relate to the bottle’s design but rather the rights to use the name in the category of alcoholic beverages; beer.

There is no indication if Tesla has registered the right to use the names in other markets. It should be noted that Tesla can reserve the rights to the names with an additional trademark application in Germany, where the product was first announced at Giga Fest.

During the party at Gigafactory Berlin, Elon Musk stated that the company will develop a beer, amongst other things. The Giga Bier appears to come in a Cybertruck-inspired bottle with sharp edges and a futuristic look.

This is the not first dip into alcohol for the car manufacturer. Tesla also released two batches of Tesla Tequila, an Anejo tequila product. Both batches sold out in minutes of their release. Tesla also sells decanters as an alternative for customers who could not have the liquor shipped directly to them in other countries like Canada and the UK.

There is no word when the beer will be made available to the public.
