Tesla GigaBier launches in Europe, and it’s not cheap

Tesla has launched its second alcoholic product, GigaBier, a limited edition pilsner-style beer in a bottle designed after the Cybertruck. The product is unfortunately only available in Europe, and as with Tesla’s limited edition products, GigaBier is not cheap.

Over two years ago when Tesla CEO Elon Musk was at Giga Berlin for the Giga Fest party, there was a relatively low-key announcement for GigaBier. Not many details were revealed about the product, except a couple of images of the bottle it would come in.

No product launch date was given either, and it looked like it make not make it market, at least with the name GigaBier, as a German engineering firm registered Giga Bier and Giga Beer trademarks 24 hours before Tesla did.

It looks like the two parties were able to come to an agreement as Tesla launched GigaBier in Europe this afternoon. According to the product website, GigaBier comes in 3 330ml bottles, which Tesla says are “designed to emulate the form of the Cybertruck while honoring the 500-year tradition of German Reinheitsgebot beermaking.”

The better is brewed in Berlin with an “exclusive strain of Cyberhops and notes of citrus, bergamot and sweet fruit. The design of the bottles changed slightly from the initial reveal, and now the Giga watermark glows in the dark.

All of this can be yours (if you live in Europe) for €89, or $131 CAD or $97 USD, not exactly cheap for 3 small bottles of beer. That won’t stop Tesla fans from snapping them up though, and the product will no doubt sell out within a few hours.
