Tesla has expanded its Supercharger network onto a new continent, with the company opening its first two Superchargers in South America in Chile.
According to a post by the official Tesla Charging account on X, the first two Superchargers are located in the cities of Curauma, just outside the country’s capital of Santiago, and in Quilicura, a coastal town less than an hour away from Santiago. Both stations feature Tesla’s latest V4 Supercharger posts.
To mark their entry in South America, one of the Supercharger posts in Curauma is adorned with the Chilean flag, much like some of the other commemorative Superchargers that have been installed in recent months.

While these are the first Superchargers in South America, this is obviously not Tesla’s first entry into the Chilean market. Earlier this year in February the company opened its first store in Chile, a move which was called by employees as one of the most exciting and significant international expansions.
At the same time, Tesla also launched their Design Studio, opening up orders for the Model 3 and Model Y to customers in Chile. Just a few months later and the first Tesla vehicles were delivered to South American customers in April.
The company has since opened up a second store, and is also planning to open its first Service Center in Santiago. According to Tesla’s website, it has a targeted opening date of 2025.
