Another significant milestone has been reached at Giga Texas. Earlier this afternoon the second IDRA Giga Press arrived at the construction site.
Spotted in a drone flyover by Jeff Roberts and shared to Twitter by the Tesla Owners Club of Austin, a large crate can be seen being dropped off from the back of a trailer.
If there was any mistaking IDRA’s signature blue wrapping, the company’s name is also emblazoned on the sides of the massive crate.
Look what just arrived!! @elonmusk

It was only in January when the first Giga Press arrived at the site. Since the stamping machines are so large, crews have been assembling it inside the factory before the walls are put up.
Since this second Giga Press is still in boxes, it is unclear if this is the latest 8,000-ton unit that will be used for Cybertruck stamping. Without specifically naming Tesla, IDRA revealed in a video last month the automaker had officially placed their first order for the massive machine, also giving us our first look at it.
