Rivian sets date for Q1 2022 earnings call: May 11, 2022

Rivian announced today it will release its 2022 first quarter financial results after market close on May 11, 2022.

The automaker will host an audio webcast to discuss the results and answer questions at 2:00pm PST.

Rivian is hoping for an improvement over their disappointing Q4 2021 financials which resulted in a net loss of $2.45 billion, or $4.84 per share.

The Q1 2022 umbers likely won’t be substantially different. Last week Rivian shared their production and delivery figures and in the first three months of the year a total of 2,553 vehicles were produced at their factory in Normal, Illinois.

Despite the increase in production from Q4, the company was only able to deliver less than half of those (1,227).

The company produced 1,015 vehicles and delivered 920 vehicles in 2021.

None of those deliveries were in Canada, and it will be a while until we see the first R1T electric trucks handed over to Canadian customers.

The automaker has yet to apply for certification from Transport Canada, but hopes to do so by September 2022.
