Polestar confirmed in a press release that the company plans to expand to 30 markets by the end of 2022. Back in July, they doubled their market presence to 18 countries, and they will establish themselves in an additional 12 in 2022.
With a digital-first approach, Polestar can set up and enter new markets quickly compared to a traditional automaker. The company can easily set up their sales network and service network and ensure customers can access, service, and buy Polestar vehicles with peace of mind.
The company expanded rapidly and focused its 2021 expansion plans in the Middle East and Europe. The auto manufacture will launch in Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Luxembourg and Iceland.
In addition, the company is also expanding its operations in markets it was already active in. By the end of 2021, Polestar will have around 100 Polestar Spaces and Destinations up and running.
If you were lucky enough to make it to IAA Germany, Polestar made its first public appearance at the event. With further events planned across Europe and other jurisdictions, Polestar is making a significant push across the EV world.
