The all-civilian crew of the SpaceX Inspiration4 mission recently returned to Earth after a successful 3-day trip into space. While they were floating at a height of nearly 600km they obviously had to give up a few creature comforts found back on Earth.
The crew of the next Dragon flight into space might not have to give up as much.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter that future Dragon flights will see a few upgrades, with one of those being improved toilets. Without getting into details (thankfully), Musk said the Inspiration4 crew faced some “challenges” during their mission.
Definitely upgraded toilets 🙂 We had some challenges with it this flight.

Another upgrade promised by Musk is for the Dragon capsule to feature a small oven that can be used to heat up the food brought into space.
Another creature comfort to be added will be WiFi so that the crew can easily keep in touch with their family and read the latest memes that Musk shares on Twitter.
Yeah, a little oven for heating food & Starlink wifi

Musk made the comments after meeting with the Inspiration4 crew in Florida yesterday. We will learn more and see more of their historic mission when the next episode of the documentary Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Space airs on Netflix on September 30.
