Lucid expands partnership with TuneIn to add TuneIn Premium

TuneIn is taking its partnership with Lucid Motors a step further to enhance the in-car audio experience for Air owners, offering access to TuneIn Premium content directly from their electric vehicles (EVs).

Lucid owners, both existing and new, will now be able to experience TuneIn Premium with a 90-day extended free trial, giving Air owners access to commercial-free news, live sports broadcasts, audiobooks, and other premium content. TuneIn did not announce that they will be providing Lucid owners with a discount monthly rate, but according to their website the Premium tier of their service costs US$7.99 per month, or US$79.99 per year.

If Air owners don’t feel like paying that, they will still be able to access to TuneIn’s ad-supported free service.

“Lucid is dedicated to providing an exceptional driving experience, and our collaboration with TuneIn is a significant step forward in enhancing our customer offerings. By incorporating TuneIn Premium service, we aim to elevate the in-car entertainment experience, offering a smooth and enjoyable audio streaming service that aligns perfectly with Lucid’s focus on innovation and quality,” said Mike Bell, Senior Vice President of Digital at Lucid Group.

One of the benefits with the integration of TuneIn, either the free service or the Premium tier, is that it allows owners to access AM radio stations, which are absent in EVs mostly due to signal interferences caused by the batteries.

TuneIn is available in over 100 countries and across more than 200 devices and vehicles, including Tesla. has firmly established itself as a go-to audio service accessible through various voice assistants and smart speakers.
