Since its unveiling last year, the vast majority of videos of the GMC Hummer EV in motion have been computer generated. This week the automaker released a new video showing the vehicle under its own power in sub-zero temperatures.
At an undisclosed location, the prototype Hummer EV is looking a little incomplete with several exterior trim pieces missing. Despite the unfinished look, the video description says the electric truck was put through its paces “on various slippery surfaces, including snow, ice, steep and split-mu grades.”
If you live in Ontario, you might want to keep an eye out for the prototype as it was recently spotted heading east on Hwy 402.
Attention Ontario peeps: The Hummer EV was spotted along Hwy 402 heading east this morning on the back of a tow truck.

The video also gives us the reveal date for the SUV version of the Hummer EV. On April 3, 2021 it will be unveiled during the NCAA’s Final Four tournament and according to the video, you’ll also be able to reserve it on the same day.
