Ford is making it easier for Canadians to switch to an electric vehicle (EV) by expanding its Power Promise program. Customers purchasing or leasing a new Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit between February 1 and March 31, 2025, will receive a free home charger and standard installation.
This offer, which was previously available in the U.S., is now available across Canada, with special pricing for Quebec residents.
Ford has partnered with RocketEV Charging Solutions Inc., a Canadian company specializing in EV charger installations, to handle the installation process. For residents of Quebec, where the free charger offer does not apply, Ford is providing a discounted home charger and standard installation bundle for $2,450, down from its estimated retail price of $3,600.
Additionally, Quebec buyers can access a special financing offer to help with the cost.
Ford’s decision to expand the Power Promise to Canada comes after record-breaking EV sales in the country. In 2024, the automaker saw a 66.1% increase in electric vehicle (EV) sales compared to the previous year. However, Ford says some of their customers remain hesitant to switch to electric due to concerns about charging availability, installation costs, and long-term battery reliability.
“We want customers across Canada to feel confident they can choose the Ford vehicle they want to drive and the powertrain that’s right for them. The convenience of home charging helps make this possible, and we’re proud that Ford is leading the way,” said Bev Goodman, president and CEO of Ford Canada.
