Fisker Ocean electric SUV starts production November 17, 2022

Almost three years to the day after it was first announced, production of the all-electric Fisker Ocean SUV will begin November 17 2022.

The production version of the 2023 Fisker Ocean was unveiled at the LA Auto Show yesterday, fittingly against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean in Manhattan Beach, California.

At the unveiling, founder and CEO Henrik Fisker said the electric SUV will be built at the Manga-Steyr facility in Graz, Austria.

The Fisker Ocean SUV is billed as “the world’s most sustainable vehicle”, with parts made from recycled and vegan materials. It will be available in both RWD and AWD configurations and will feature a 80kWh battery pack.

That will give the EV a range of approximately 482km (300 miles) and an expected 0-60mph time of 2.9 seconds.

The 2023 Fisker Ocean will start at an attractive price of $37,499 USD (~$47,200 CAD).

Interested buyers can reserve one with a $250 deposit.

Editor’s note: A previous version of this story said production begins in 2021. This has been corrected.
