This year you can celebrate Canada Day by filling up your electric vehicle (EV) for free at one of the 30 Electrify Canada charging stations.
According to Electrify Canada, the promotion starts on July 1 at 12:01am EDT and runs until July 2 at 3:00am EDT, giving owners on the west coast the opportunity to plug in until midnight.
“Providing complimentary charging across our network is our way thanking those who have already made the switch to electric while also giving an opportunity to try our ultra-fast network on a road trip. As we continue to expand our ultra-fast charging network coast to coast, we look forward to building EV range confidence among Canadian drivers and enabling them to go further, faster,” says Robert Barrosa, senior director of sales, business development & marketing at Electrify Canada.
Electrify Canada’s network covers Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Each location is equipped with four chargers offering charging speeds up to 150kW and 350kW depending on the capabilities of your vehicle.
For Tesla owners, you will need either the CHAdeMO adapter, or the CCS adapter which can currently only be purchased from Tesla South Korea.
In addition to the free charging, Electrify Canada is also offering $65 off its Level-2 home charger, HomeStation.
