Due to open in the 2nd quarter, there is a new Tesla Supercharger under construction in Coquitlam at 1090 Lougheed Hwy, just in front of where the Fatburger restaurant is located.
Work on the site has just started, as most of conduit has yet to be placed. From what is visible in the first photos we received, there will be at least 12 V3 stalls.
Drive Tesla reader Felix Cretu also stopped by the site today and was able to snap these pictures of the Supercharger construction.
Almost 3 weeks ago, we told you about another Supercharger under construction in North Vancouver. That site also has a targeted opening date in the 2nd quarter of 2021, and it is likely that both sites are being done by the same construction crew.
The new site in Coquitlam is located 8.5 km from the 20-stall 72kw Supercharger at Surrey’s Guildford Mall. Another site will also be built in nearby Burnaby in the 3rd quarter.
This location was not one of the 14 Supercharger locations revealed earlier this week by Natural Resources Canada.
