Lucid has announced 2025 Air Pure is now the world’s most efficient car, achieving an impressive 5.0 miles per kilowatt hour (kWh) of energy and a record-setting 146 MPGe EPA rating.
According to Lucid, the automaker has implemented a number of advancements in the 2025 Air Pure, punctuated by the vehicle’s efficiency, which has now reached 5.0 miles per kWh. With its 84 kWh battery pack, the Air Pure offers a 420 mile (676km) range, making it the most energy-efficient vehicle available on the market today.
This efficiency not only reduces the size of the battery pack needed but also minimizes the environmental impact by requiring fewer raw materials and placing less demand on public power grids during recharging.
“The advancements introduced across the Lucid Air lineup for 2025 further cement our leadership position. Lucid Air is the very embodiment of our relentless approach to optimization, enabling Air Pure to use less electrical energy than any other vehicle for any journey taken, A to B,” said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid,
Along with the record efficiency, the 2025 Lucid Air lineup boasts several technological upgrades, one of which is the inclusion of a new-generation infotainment processor, which offers triple the processing power and double the memory compared to the previous generation.
Additionally, all models now come standard with Lucid’s DreamDrive Premium ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which includes features like 3D Surround View Monitoring and live Blind Spot Display.
Another upgrade for the 2025 Air is Lucid’s heat pump. Initially introduced in the Air Sapphire, it is now standard across all models.
