Tesla has yet to open up their orders books for the Model Y in Israel, but it looks like that is going to change very soon.
According to a report by the Globes publication, sources in China have revealed a shipment of 2,000 cars are on their way to the Middle Eastern country, and should arrive in mid-February.
The shipment will include 1,500 Model 3 cars and 500 Model Y SUVs, the source explained.
If the ship arrives on schedule, that means the first Model Y deliveries in Israel are likely take place before the end of the first quarter.
Since the Design Studio for the Model Y hasn’t launched yet, prices are still unknown. Globes is expecting the electric SUV will sell for between NIS 260,000-270,000 ($103,000-$108,000 CAD).
Israel is not the only middle-eastern country expected to begin the first Model Y deliveries in the first quarter.
As we reported earlier today, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) just received their first batch of Model Y cars. Tesla began taking orders for the electric SUV in the UAE last September.
