Tesla Model Y added to Hertz’s EV rental fleet in the US

As part of their continuing efforts to lead the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the rental car industry, Hertz has added the Tesla Model Y to its EV rental fleet in the United States.

In an update to the EV section of their website, Hertz says the Model Y is now available to reserve “for your next adventure.” (h/t: @Sawyer Merritt)

Drive Tesla searched the listings at several major airport locations across the US but we were not able to find any available for rent just yet.

A similar review of the Hertz Canada website  didn’t reveal either the Model 3 or Model Y as being available for rent north of the border.

We have been keeping an eye on the website though since Hertz told us Canada would be getting Tesla rentals in Q1 2022.

In early February their website did show the Model 3, Model Y, and Model S as part of their Canadian ‘Green Traveler Collection.’

All of those listings were removed by the end of February, and have not yet been added back.

A Hertz spokesperson has since told us the company is “working to expand our EV offerings in as we continue advancing our global electrification strategy,” but could not provide an updated timeline on when Tesla rentals will be available in Canada.
