A fresh batch of refresh Tesla Model S vehicles were spotted at the Fremont factory this weekend in another indication deliveries could begin shortly.
The vehicles were seen in the shipping and logistics lot at the south end of the factory, where new vehicles are lined up in preparation for loading on to car carriers as they make their way to the showrooms across the U.S. and Canada.
A total of five vehicles could be seen in the video, with all of them appearing to have the round steering wheel instead of the yoke steering wheel.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a refresh Model S in this lot. A few weeks ago a red one with Arachnid wheels was also spotted in a drone flyover. The big difference was that one had the yoke steering wheel.
According to information provided by the fan who got to sit in a refresh Model S this past weekend, Tesla is still waiting for regulatory approval for the yoke. As a result, initial deliveries will begin with the round steering wheel, with owners selecting at the time of delivery if they want to have the yoke wheel retrofitted when it becomes available.
