Driver survives crashing Tesla on test drive, then falls to his death minutes later

An unfortunate incident occurred Sunday in Taiwan as a potential Model 3 purchaser out on a test drive survived a horrific crash but minutes later died after falling off a highway ramp.

According to reports, the driver was a 23 year old man, with a Tesla salesperson as the passenger. They were travelling along the Sun Yat-sen Freeway (National Highway 1) and merging onto National Highway 3 when the Tesla crashed into the side barrier, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

Both occupants of the vehicle survived the crash, but after being helped out of the vehicle by witnesses, the driver somehow went over the guardrail, falling to his death 16 meters below.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but the photos below are good evidence of just how safe the Model 3 when both occupants are able to get out of this vehicle alive.
