Tesla and Uber launch new incentive program in the US

Tesla and Uber have partnered together again to launch a new incentive program to get Uber drivers in the US to switch to a Tesla. Uber drivers could get up to US$2,000 in cash rewards when buying a Model 3 or Model Y.

According to a new page on Tesla’s website, eligible Uber drivers in good standing can receive US$1,000 in Tesla Credits. These credits, like referral credits, can be used for Supercharging, service bills, select merchandise and accessories, or even put towards another new Tesla. (h/t: @TheEVuniverse)

Along with the Tesla Credits, Uber will also give the driver US$1,000 in cash, but only after completing 100 trips. Those 100 trips must be completed by February 15, 2025.

As with other recent promotions by Tesla, this one is applicable only to the Model 3 or Model Y, and the new vehicle must be delivered by December 31, 2024 in order to qualify for the incentives.

According to the fine print, this incentive can be stacked with the US$1,000 Military Discount, but not stackable with any other promotions Tesla currently offers, like 0% financing on the Model 3/Y.

This is the second promotion like this offered between the two companies this year. From January to March 2024, Uber drivers could get a US$2,000 discount on a new Model 3 or Model Y purchase.
