Tesla Supercharger in Lachenaie now open [Quebec]

It only took a little over four years, but the Tesla Supercharger in Lachenaie, Quebec is finally open.

Construction work on the Lachenaie Supercharger first started all the way back in May 2019. At that time all of the underground work was completed, with conduit put in place and the concrete re-poured for an 8-stall Supercharger. While that work was completed quickly, the project came to a grinding halt, sitting in virtually the same state until November 2022 when the Supercharger equipment finally arrived on site.

With the new activity at the site owners in the area were hopeful that would mean the station would open soon, but again the site sat idle waiting for the final connection to the grid. After a wait that was entirely too long that finally happened, with the official Tesla Charing Twitter account announcing on Monday the Lachenaie Supercharger is now open.

The Lachenaie Supercharger is located in the parking lot of the IGA at 1115 Montée des Pionniers, Terrebonne. It features 8 V3 stalls with nearby amenities including the aforementioned IGA, as well as a Tim Hortons and several restaurants.
