Koenigsegg is expanding their presence in the world of electric vehicles (EVs), but not in the way we would have expected.
The Swedish hypercar manufacturer is partnering with Unplugged Performance (UP) to create a lineup of aftermarket parts for Tesla cars.
The new partnership, called UP x KAM, will see UP design the aftermarket parts while Koenigsegg will manufacture them.
“We are proud to announce a manufacturing partnership between Unplugged Performance x Koenigsegg Advanced Manufacturing (UP x KAM). Koenigsegg, the world’s leading Hypercar manufacturer, is now producing Unplugged Performance tuning products for your Tesla,” UP said on their website.
The two companies will make aftermarket parts for the entire lineup of Tesla vehicles, including trunk spoilers and a front wide fender set exclusively for the Model 3.
Unsurprisingly, all of the parts will be hand made using Koenigsegg’s proprietary carbon fiber weave. Also unsurprisingly, the parts won’t be cheap.
The spoilers, available for either improved efficiency or improved downforce, are priced at $1,745.
The front wide fender set will set you back $8,845.
UP says they plan to release more products later this year, but for now, here is their full lineup of UP x KAM aftermarket parts.
