Lucid announces start of Air production, first deliveries to begin in October

Lucid has officially announced the start of production for their first electric vehicle (EV), the Lucid Air. With the start of production, Lucid also announced the first customer deliveries of the Air will begin in late October.

The company made the announcement during its Production Preview Week, a series of events during which its Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP-1) and Lucid Powertrain Manufacturing (LPM-1) factories in Casa Grande, Arizona were open to Air Dream Edition customers and members of the media.

Lucid says the first Air Dream Edition vehicles will be handed over to customers in late October, with deliveries ramping up as production increases.

The automaker has so far received more than 13,000 reservations for the different variants of the Air. They also recently increased the number of Air Dream Edition vehicles to be built to 520 units to match the car’s official EPA estimated range.
