Tesla has officially expanded the availability of its Robotaxi app to Canada. While the app is now available on the Canadian iOS App Store, this doesn’t mean the company is expanding its robotaxi and ride-hailing service north of the border any time soon.
However, it does give Canadians the ability to join the waitlist and eventually gain access to use the service in Austin, Texas, or the Bay Area in California.
The move comes just one day after the app was made available to the public for iOS users in the United States, suggesting it could have been a delay in receiving approval from the Canadian version of the iOS App Store. An Android version of the app is expected soon.
How to Download Tesla’s Robotaxi App in Canada
Canadian iPhone users can now download the app from the Apple App Store at this link. Once installed, users must sign in with their Tesla account, after which you will be presented with the option at the top of your screen to join the waitlist. Once joined, the app says you will receive a notification once you are off the waitlist and can book rides.

The app serves as the main portal for customers to request rides, track vehicle arrivals, manage your payment option, view your ride history, and more.
Until you can actually book a ride, you can view the service areas in Austin and the Bay Area, as well as and learn more about what you need to know before taking your first robotaxi ride. There is also a link to find out the latest Robotaxi news from the official Robotaxi account on X.
