SpaceX wants you to lobby FCC and Congress to reject DISH Network’s proposed spectrum changes

The battle between SpaceX and DISH Network is not slowing down. Elon Musk’s company is now asking for your help to lobby the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and members of Congress.

According to a campaign set up by SpaceX on the digital advocacy platform VoterVoice, Starlink satellite internet service would become unusable for a majority of Americans if DISH gets their way and is allowed to repurpose the 12GHz spectrum, despite having no hardware to take advantage of it.

If the FCC does not reject the rule changes proposed by DISH for 12 GHz spectrum, Starlink customers will experience harmful interference more than 77% of the time and total outage of service 74% of the time, rendering Starlink unusable for most Americans.

To help, two prepopulated letters have been set up allowing you to fill in your personal information and automatically send them to US Senators and US Representatives, as well as the FCC.

SpaceX also encourages you to add your personal experiences to compel them to act on your behalf.

If you would like to show your support, you can find the letters at VoterVoice.net. You can read more about the fight between SpaceX and DISH here.
